Here at Core Geotechnical, we respect, recognize and acknowledge that our office is located on the traditional territories of the Snuneymuxw people. We commonly work on the traditional lands of other Coast Salish Nations such as the Ts'Uubaa-Asatx, Shhweenustham 'u tu Quw'utsun Hwulmuhw, Stz'umanius, Snaw-Naw-As, K’ómoks, and the Ligwiłda'xw people, places that have been stewarded and cared for since time immemorial. We honour both ancient and modern relationships with the people who have and do live in this beautiful place.
As allies we reflect upon our responsibilities and promise to encourage work towards reciprocity and reconciliation. We observe National Day for Truth and Reconciliation September 30th . CGI closes to enable employees to take some time to reflect on the tragic impact of residential schools, deepen their understanding of the intergenerational trauma of residential schools, and celebrate our indigenous community's resiliency.
We offer respect to the Elders who have come before us and to all Canadians who are on the journey towards reconciliation. We encourage all Canadians to recognize and commemorate the tragic history and ongoing legacy of residential schools and to honour their survivors, their families and communities.
